Codified and enacted into positive law by act of July 30, 1947, ch. 391, 61 Stat. 652, and was amended in its entirety by Congress Public Law 94-553, Oct. 19, 1976, 90 Stat. 2541. Historical and revision notes follow each section taken from H. Rept. 94-1476 and S. Rept. 94-473 located at 1976 U.S.C.C.A.N. p. 5659 and p. 5810, and at v. 13136, pt. 8 and v. 13096, pt. 7 of the U.S. Congressional Serial Set. See also H. Rept. 80-254 at 1947 U.S.Code Cong.
