Transportation: is Codified and Enacted into Positive Law?
Note: More information about positive law codification is available here.
Revised, codified, and enacted (“without substantive change” in the long title) by Congress Public Law 95-473, _1, Oct. 17, 1978, 92 Stat. 1337 (Subtitle IV); by Congress Public Law 97-449, _1, Jan. 12, 1983, 96 Stat. 2413 (Subtitle I); and by Congress Public Law 103-372, July 5, 1994, 108 Stat. 745 (Subtit. II, III, V-X). The later two laws had “without substantive change” in their enacting clauses not just their long titles. Historical and revision notes follow each section and are taken from H. Rept. 95-1395, a 1982 Office of Law Revision Counsel report, H. Rept. 103-180 and S. Rept. 103-265, and are located at 1978 U.S.C.C.A.N., p. 3009; 1994 U.S.C.C.A.N., p. 818 and v. 128 Cong. Rec. p.30310. Also in v. 13201, pt. 10; in v. 14198 and in v. 14222 of the U.S. Cong. Serial Set.
